This serum prevents excess sebum secretion to reduce unwanted shine and eff ectively treats skin problems.

Method

 Twenty-one subjects aged 20 to 38 years (average age: 26.7 ± 5.6 yrs) with mild to moderate acne participated in this study for 4 weeks.

 Assessment of acne severity by standard photo and acne lesion counting were performed at the fi rst visit (before), then at 2 and 4 weeks after treatment of test products (Dr. Clear Magic series).

 Also assessment self-questionnaires concerning effi cacy and usability of the test product performed by subjects.

 All obtained data analyzed by the paired t-test of SPSS 11.5 package program.

 

Result

1. Analysis of acne severity by standard photograph
Compared to before treatment, acne severity was improved at 2 and 4 weeks, but was no statistical significance.

2. Analysis of acne lesion counting
Compared to before treatment, whiteheads and blackheads were signifi cantly improved at 2 weeks (p<0.05), and whiteheads, blackheads, papules and macules signifi cantly improved at 4 weeks (p<0.05).

3. Analysis of self-questionnaires by subjects

As for effi cacy, more than 61.90% of subjects off ered positive answers about ‘Smooth of sur-face’, ‘Alleviation of existing acne’ and Improvement of acne generally’ questionnaire at 2 weeks.

 After 4 weeks treatment, more than 61.90% of subjects off ered positive answers about ‘Re-
duction of sebum’, ‘Smooth of surface’, ‘Alleviation of existing acne’ and Improvement of acne

 generally’questionnaire at 4 weeks. As for usability, more than 66.67% of subjects off ered positive answers to ‘color’ in tonor, lotion, serum, stic roll and more than 66.67% of subjects off ered positive answers to ‘perfume’ in soap, tonor, lotion and stic roll. As for ‘Absorption’ questionnaire, more than 66.67% of subjects off ered positive answers to lotion and serum. As for ‘Total Usability’ and ‘Total Satisfaction’questionnaires, more than 80.95% and 66.67% of subjects, respectively, off ered positive answers to all test products generally.
4. Adverse reaction Skin adverse reaction was not observed during the course of the study.
